It was white on Saturday night for Claudine Keane as she joined Georgina Byrne and Nicky Byrne, Cecelia Ahern, Miriam Ahern, Roz Flanagan, and Gerald Keane at The CARI Charity Red Ball.

The CARI Red Ball took place in The Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin on Saturday night.

Roz Flanagan thanked all who attended and all who sponsored this event, helping CARI to relaunch an important fundraising event in the CARI Calendar.

CARI provides a professional child therapy and counselling service to children and families who have been affected by child sexual abuse.

The evening commenced with a Gin reception kindly sponsored by Dingle Whiskey Distillery, after which guests enjoyed a four-course meal with delectable wines sponsored by The Port House.

Alan Hughes was the charismatic MC for the evening, and during dinner – guests were entertained by Holly and Kavanagh Dance Academy.

After dinner a select auction took place where Gerald Kean put a number of lots under the hammer. A fun filled raffle followed. The evening continued with entertainment from The Runaways with dancing until the early hours of the morning with DJ Dan Stritch.

Guests who attended on the night included Miriam Ahern and Terry McCoy, Roz and Vincent Flanagan, Cecelia Ahern, Georgina and Nicky Byrne, Karl Broderick, Paul and Dominque Byrom, Mary Byrne, Claudine Keane and Joan Palmer to name but a few.

CARI is a voluntary organisation, founded in 1989 to provide therapy and counselling to children and teenagers that have been affected by Child Sexual Abuse.

CARI’s focus is to address the long-term needs of children and teens that have experienced sexual abuse. This coupled with the fact that they also treat the non-abusing members of the family and the siblings makes their approach unique.

CARI also provides a Lo-call National Helpline and a National Court Accompaniment Service for child witnesses, along with an accompaniment service for children attending forensic examinations in the immediate aftermath of disclosure in both Galway and Dublin.

With limited government funding to date CARI is entirely dependent upon its fund-raising efforts in order to continue to offer these vital services.

Thousands of children have recovered their childhoods and more recently we have accompanied hundreds of children attending court. Money raised from this evening’s event is essential to CARI to maintain each and every one of these important services for children.

The celebration was mega, as a live saxophone player jammed out, an ice sculpture stayed cool and it all ended in Twenty Two, Dublin’s hottest new club and bar.

Managing Director of Platinum Luxury Hair Extensions and Girl Boss, Onagh O’Driscoll, looked stunning as she greeted guests on the night.

Platinum’s brand new HQ boasts two floors, and is based in the old ‘Irish Times’ building on D’Olier Street.

Guests on the night included celebrity stylist Laura Mullett and her celebrity make-up artist sister Jade Mullett.

The pair sipped on Disaronno sour cocktails, which were kept cool by Platinum’s ice sculpture from Diamond Ice Sculptures, while they chatted to other attendees – including comedian Jen Hatton and model Andrea Rooney.

Before they entered the venue, guests were wowed by a digital fire artist from Audio Networks.

Party goers dined on mini Fish and Chips, while they were entertained by a DJ, live singers, and a saxophone player.

Finally, the party ended with an exclusive after-party in Dublin’s hottest new venue, Twenty Two.

The animals in Dublin Zoo are enjoying their new snowy terrain thanks to Storm Emma.

Dublin Zoo remains closed today but that hasn’t stopped the animals, such as the Asian elephants, African painted dogs, southern white rhinos, white-crowned mangabeys, zebras and Eastern bongos enjoying the snowfall in the capital!

The animals have continuous access to their heated houses and in some cases, Dublin Zoo has installed additional heaters to ensure animals that are used to warmer climates, giraffes and zebras etc., are protected during the cold weather.

Those accustomed to colder climates, wolves and snow leopards etc., will have the option to be outside. In preparation for the weather warning, all boilers have been serviced and surplus food for the animals has been delivered.

The final of TV3’s first series of Ireland’s Got Talent is on tomorrow night and everyone wants to get in on the action.

The excitement is building for a competitive final after the two wildcards were announced today.

Dancer Zacc Milne and singer Matt Dodd join Aaron J Hart, Xquisite, RDC, Double Impact, FKFT and Linda McLoughlin in the final.

Although the series is only in it’s first year here in Ireland the standard of the talent and production have been incredible.

TV3’s presenters grabbed their chance to watch the spectacle that was the last semi-final in DCU yesterday.

Dog owners and their pooches stepped out for Ireland’s first ever doggie screening for the special preview of the new film Isle of Dogs.

The screening was held at The Lighthouse Cinema in Smithfield, which allowed dog lovers to watch Wes Anderson’s new stop-motion animated film with their own furry friends.

Set in Japan, Isle of Dogs tells the story of a dystopian future where dogs are quarantined to a remote island owing to a ‘canine flu’.

One brave boy, Atari, seeks his dog Spots and enlists the help of a muttly crew of dogs – Chief, Rex, Boss, Duke and King.

Every frame houses a staggering level of detail, which we are of course accustomed to from Mr Anderson’s vivid imagination.

Isle of Dogs opens in cinemas nationwide on March 30th.

The Black Door’s 5th birthday was a classy affair.

Stars from the hit series Vikings stormed South Anne Street for their official rap party.

Actors from the critically acclaimed show stepped out in style at Twenty Two Dublin, as they celebrated another season of the show, which airs on the History channel.

The series stars Alexander Ludwig, Gustaf Skarsgard, Katheryn Winnick and Moe Dunford, and is largely filmed in Wicklow.

The series, which was created by Michael Hirst, will move into it’s sixth season at the end of this year, or early next year.

Season six was commissioned shortly in November 2017.

In a statement from the US network, History executive Eli Lehrer said, “Vikings has creatively sailed to monumental lengths.”

“The series has evolved from early raids in England, to the heart-stopping death of Ragnar Lothbrok, to the fierce battles of the Great Heathen Army, and now we’ll see the sons of Ragnar exploring and conquering the known world.

“[Creator] Michael Hirst has only scratched the surface of his epic saga. We look forward to continuing our partnership with one of the greatest writers in this era of Peak TV and entertaining our viewers with 40 new episodes over the next two seasons.”

Although the show airs on the History channel, it’s available to stream on Amazon Prime.

The Odeon Point Square played host to a special preview of A Quiet Place which drew out the stars.

Guests were on the edge of their seats on Tuesday evening at the Odeon Cinema in Point Square, Dublin for a special preview screening of Actress Emily Blunt’s new film  ‘A Quiet Place’.

The film  was directed by John Krasinski who also takes the lead role of Lee, with his wife Emily Blunt playing his on-screen partner Evelyn.

The plot follows a family of four who must live life in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound.

The event was invite only and began with an exclusive drinks reception.

Attendees included Radio Nova’s Clint Drieberg and Elaine Stenson, Models Carl Shaaban and Karl Bowe, Jay Duffy as well as Aileen Hickey (Wife of Matt Cooper), Actor Daithi MacSuibhne  and Radio presenters Jeremy Dixon and Andy Preston.

The movie has a run time of 95 minutes and is in cinemas from Monday the 2nd of April.

The Australian YouTuber, who has been living in Ireland for a year now, is all about loving animals and using cruelty-free makeup so the #EssenceFestival event was an ideal event for her to host.

The sun shone through the industrial windows of the The Mart in Rathmines lighting up a room full of selfie mirrors, sweets, prosecco, pink lemonade and colourful shopping baskets which each attendee invited to fill them up with as many Essence products as they liked.

In 2017 Clarins raised an amazing €13,240 for Arthritis Ireland.

Clarins Ireland and Arthritis Ireland announced their joint initiative in early 2017 to work together to raise funds in the fight against rheumatic diseases.

For every purchase of Tonic Body Treatment Oil in 2017, Clarins made a donation to Arthritis Ireland to help fund research in Ireland and also to raise awareness of this disease.

This initiative will continue for 2018.

Kellogg’s opened Ireland’s first-ever pop-up cereal café to celebrate the launch.

GAA All-Stars Andy Moran, Danny Sutcliffe, Rena Buckley and Niamh Hegarty answered questions pitched by Pippa and Oliver as guests enjoyed a luxury breakfast in Urchin.

Last year more than 142,000 children took part in Ireland’s largest summer camps and enjoyed a week of activity, nutrition, fun and GAA.

Oliver renamed his co-host “Pipper” as he entertained the crowd at the breakfast event with impressions of Marty Morrissey, Joe Brolly, Des Cahill and Leo Varadker.

The brains behind Pippa’s Fashion Factories spoke exclusively to Goss.ie after the event and cleared up rumours about Dermot Bannon’s involvement in the redesign of her home.

17-year-old Simon Spier is the focus of the movie and it follows him discovering his sexuality.

He falls for an anonymous classmate online but doesn’t know their gender.

He hasn’t told his family or friends that he’s gay yet so the movie follows his story as he figures himself out.

Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing.

Sporting a stunning sequinned jumpsuit paired with a white floral veil her celebrations got underway as she indulged in afternoon tea in the classy surrounds of House.

A glam squad visited her house in the morning and did everyone’s makeup.

She shared sweet snaps with her parents in a boomerang on Instagram with them both kissing her on each of her cheeks.

Her mum and dad wore black t-shirts that read “BRIDAL SQUAD” in white print.

House Dublin’s already exquisite interior was even more dolled up than usual as her hens had decked the place out with gorgeous balloons, pretty bridal bits and an Instax camera to snap some sweet memories.

The celebration included bottles of alcohol with Rosie’s name printed on them.

Vodka and Prosecco were among the personalised objects enjoyed by the bridal party.

The influencer had warned her friends that she didn’t want any penis themed items at the classy affair but alas, a gold penis shaped straw made an appearance.

But she saw the fun in it remarking on how gross the testicles looked.

“I said no willies but I got a gold willy so that’s ok. Look at the balls! Vile!”

Blogger pals Niamh Cullen, Louise Cooney, Aideen Murphy and Grace Mongey (who caught the bouquet!) joined her in celebrating the hen do as well as her sisters and friends.

Her wedding is on May 19th, the same day as Meghan Markle’s royal wedding, which is only fitting for one of the elite Irish influencers.

Here’s hoping she’ll still be in one piece and able to make it down the aisle after tonight.

We’re hoping that James Patrice and Mark Rogers are whisking her away home to safety but with cocktail making classes underway we don’t think the party will be stopping any time soon!

Kylie Jenner brought daughter Stormi to Texas this week to meet her dad’s side of the family, the Webster’s

Stormi, who is only two-months-old, was treated to a welcome party with father Travis spending $7,145 on flowers for the occasion.

Joshua who is Scott’s brother posted a picture of him holding Stormi. The caption read “So happy to finally hold my beautiful Stormi”.

The KUWTK star also shared snaps of her daughter’s impressive book collection with her fans this week which included books like ‘Mary Had A Little Glam’ and ‘Princesses Wear Pants’.

A source close to E! has said that the new parents are in the best place possible after the birth of their first daughter, “Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott are currently in the best place they have ever been in their relationship.

“Things really came full circle once Stormi was born and they now have an unbreakable bond.”

The new mum revealed that she is already at the halfway mark on her post pregnancy weightloss journey.
