Marissa Carter posts emotional thank you online ahead of Cocoa Brown’s 5th Birthday

Marissa Carter, CEO of Cocoa Brown, posted an emotional thank you on her Instagram last night as preparations got underway for the Tanning products 5th birthday.

Marissa, entrepreneur, owner and founder of Cocoa Brown, launched her company 5 years ago.

Since then the 1 hour tan has gained almost cult-status  amongst celebrities and beauty bloggers alike.

Preparations well under way for our 5th Birthday Party this week!!! It feels like yesterday and forever ago all at the same time. To every single person who has supported me, encouraged me and used @cocoabrowntan – THANK YOU. I hope you guys know how much I love you and love making products for you that make you feel like you can take on the world wearing them. I’ve had more moments than I’ve shared where the stress of building the business or the tiredness has made me want to quit but then I’ll get a dm or an email from one of you and it reminds me why I started. It reminds me that fundamentally others want to see people do well, make a good life for themselves and their family. It reminds to give back as much as I can to other women in business or to give time to speak to young students who might just need to hear that their current circumstances won’t determine what they are capable of achieving in life. Self-belief can go a long, long way.
