The Irish Cinematographic Trade Benevolent Fund (ICTBF) Cinema Ball took place at the very elegant Powerscourt Hotel last week.
This year the theme was Garden Party, and the Hotel’s Secret Garden and Ballroom were decked with fragrant blooms, trees and foliage.
This is the ICTBF main fundraising activity each year, and monies raised keeps the fund alive to help industry professionals who find themselves fallen on hard times.
Spotted on the night was RTÉ’s Stephen Byrne and Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh, as well as Sean Musanje, and Thomas Crosse – who recently returned to FM104 after parting ways with Spin 1038.
The night started with cocktails by Bloom Gin and Fever Tree tonic at The Garden Party, and guests enjoyed music from Suitable Sax before sitting down for sumptuous dinner.
The event was hosted by Deirdre O’Kane, and guests were surprised by the magnificent Opera Waiters who broke into a pre-dessert set of much loved opera classics.
Spring Break kept the party going until the wee hours.
